Installation & Site Preparation

The SaunaLife GL4 requires a level, stable, load-bearing foundation capable of supporting the sauna and its occupants.

Depending on your property and local requirements, suitable foundations may include a properly prepared and compacted gravel pad, concrete pad, paver base, deck, or other engineered foundation. Whichever foundation you choose, it should be level, well-draining, and designed to provide consistent support across the entire sauna footprint.

An electric sauna heater requires a dedicated electrical circuit sized for the selected heater. All electrical work should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with manufacturer requirements and applicable local electrical codes.

The GL4 is designed as a premium modular sauna kit. SaunaLife estimates that two people with moderate DIY experience can assemble the structure in approximately two days, though actual installation time will vary based on site conditions and experience.

Scheduled Freight Delivery – $950

The SaunaLife GL4 ships via scheduled LTL freight for a flat $950 delivery charge. Due to the size and weight of the sauna kit, it arrives securely packaged in a large shipping crate to help protect the components during transit.

Delivery is curbside, meaning the freight carrier will deliver the crated sauna to the curb or another accessible point at the end of your driveway. The carrier does not move the crate into your garage, backyard, home, or final installation location.

Once your sauna ships, you will receive tracking information. The freight carrier will then contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment.

Because the GL4 is a large and heavy shipment, we recommend planning ahead for how you will move the sauna components from the delivery point to your installation area. Depending on your property, this may involve opening the crate at the curb and moving individual components, or arranging equipment or additional help for placement.
