IP67-Rated Protection
The SaunaGear 300 is IP67 rated, helping protect the control panel from dust and water intrusion when installed correctly.
UV-Stabilized Polycarbonate Construction
The enclosure body is made from UV-stabilized polycarbonate, designed to better withstand sun exposure and outdoor sauna environments.
Clear Hinged Access Door
The clear hinged door allows you to see the controller and access it when needed without leaving the controller directly exposed to the elements.
Continuous Gasket Seal
A continuous gasket helps maintain a tight protective seal around the door when properly closed.
Stainless Steel Latches
Stainless steel latches provide secure closure and corrosion-resistant detail for outdoor use.
Compact, Clean Exterior Look
The enclosure is small enough to mount cleanly on the exterior of an outdoor sauna while still offering room for compatible digital sauna control panels.
Includes Mounting Components
The SaunaGear 300 includes the enclosure, internal mounting panel, and enclosure mounting feet.
Important Exterior Controller Requirement
If Your Controller Is Mounted Outside on an Exposed Sauna, Use a Waterproof Enclosure
If your sauna control panel will be installed on the exterior wall of an outdoor sauna and that location is exposed to rain, snow, direct weather, humidity, or moisture, a waterproof control enclosure is required.
This is especially important for:
- Outdoor saunas without a covered porch or overhang
- Controllers mounted on an exposed side wall
- Saunas placed in rainy, snowy, coastal, or humid climates
- Backyard sauna kits where the control is mounted outside the hot room
- Installations where the control panel is not protected by an interior dry location
A waterproof enclosure helps protect the controller from moisture damage and supports a cleaner, more reliable installation. It does not replace proper electrical planning, manufacturer installation instructions, licensed electrician installation, or local code compliance.
Important Note: Controller vs. Main Power Unit
The SaunaGear 300 Is for the Small Digital Control Panel
The SaunaGear 300 is intended for the small digital controller, keypad, or touchscreen — not the larger heater power unit, contactor box, or main electrical control module.
If your heater’s main electrical power unit or contactor box will also be installed outdoors or in an exposed location, it will need a properly sized weatherproof electrical enclosure. Many installations require a larger enclosure for the power unit and a smaller enclosure like the SaunaGear 300 for the wall-mounted controller.
For example, the SaunaGear 300 is commonly sized for smaller digital controls, while larger electrical components may require a larger enclosure such as the SaunaGear 302 or another appropriately rated enclosure confirmed by your licensed electrician.
Is the SaunaGear 300 Right for Your Sauna?
The SaunaLife SaunaGear 300 is a strong add-on if your sauna controller needs to be mounted outside the sauna room in a location exposed to moisture or weather.
It is especially useful for:
- Outdoor sauna kits
- Backyard saunas
- Cabin saunas
- SaunaLife outdoor sauna installations
- Exposed exterior controller locations
- Harvia, HUUM, or similar digital control panels when properly sized
- Rainy or humid climates
- Installations where the controller needs a cleaner protected housing
- Customers who want a more finished exterior control setup
If your controller is mounted indoors in a dry, protected location, this enclosure may not be necessary.

Installation Notes
The SaunaLife SaunaGear 300 should be installed according to the enclosure instructions, sauna control manual, heater manufacturer requirements, and local electrical code.
General installation guidance:
- Confirm your controller fits inside the enclosure before ordering
- Use this enclosure for the small digital control panel, not the main power unit
- Install on a flat, stable exterior surface
- Maintain the gasket seal and close the hinged door after use
- Do not drill unnecessary holes that may compromise the weatherproof rating
- All wire penetrations should be properly sealed with approved fittings
- Keep enclosure placement accessible but away from unnecessary heat exposure
- Do not mount directly above or too close to the heater
- Have all electrical work completed by a licensed electrician
- Follow all sauna heater, controller, and local code requirements
The enclosure is designed to help protect the controller from weather exposure, but correct installation is essential for proper protection.
