HUUM Drop, a wall-mounted sauna heater from HUUM's lineup, is the top choice among sauna enthusiasts. • Heater: HUUM DROP 6, wall-mounted electric sauna heater rated at 6.0 kW on 240V. HUUM specifies it for sauna rooms approximately 177–318 cu. ft. on 240V.
• Electrical – 240V: 25 amps, requiring a 30A circuit breaker and minimum 10 AWG wire according to HUUM’s current U.S. installation manual.
• Dedicated circuit: The heater/control system should be installed on a dedicated electrical circuit. HUUM recommends connection without a GFCI breaker, where permitted by applicable local electrical codes.
• Professional installation required: All electrical work and connections must be completed by a licensed electrician and installed in accordance with current local, state and federal electrical/building codes.
• Heat-resistant power cable required: HUUM specifies a heat-resistant power cable for the heater. Non-heat-resistant PVC-insulated cable must not be used.
• Wire terminations: HUUM requires the power cable ends to be crimped before connection to the heater terminal block to help prevent loose electrical connections.
• Sauna stones included with this package: The DROP 6 requires approximately 121 lb / 55 kg of sauna stones. HUUM specifies stones approximately 2–4 in. / 5–10 cm in diameter.
• Proper stone type: HUUM recommends natural sauna stones such as olivine diabase or olivine that are specifically intended for electric sauna heaters. Proper stone placement and airflow around the heating elements are important for safe operation and performance. Stones are Included in this Package
• UKU WiFi Black Control included: The package includes the HUUM UKU WiFi control system with CLASSIC Black control panel, providing digital time and temperature control along with remote operation through the HUUM mobile app when connected to Wi-Fi.
• No extension box required: The standard UKU control system supports electric sauna heaters up to 11 kW, so the DROP 6 can be operated directly through the UKU system without an additional extension box.
• Temperature control: UKU allows sauna temperature to be adjusted from approximately 104°F to 230°F / 40°C to 110°C.
• Wi-Fi capability: A reliable Wi-Fi connection is required for remote/app operation. The UKU WiFi main module should be installed in a location with adequate Wi-Fi coverage and in accordance with HUUM's installation requirements.
• Room sizing: Glass, tile, brick and other uninsulated surfaces increase the effective sauna-room volume. HUUM specifies adding approximately 3.3 cu. ft. of calculated room volume for every 1 sq. ft. of uninsulated wall surface when determining the appropriate heater size.
• Safety clearances: The DROP 6 must be installed according to HUUM's required safety clearances from walls, benches, the ceiling and other combustible surfaces. Always follow the current installation manual when positioning the heater.
