Sauna-rated to 215°F.
A published operating limit for sauna environments, with an IPX5-rated enclosure. Heat rating describes the equipment, not a recommended sauna temperature for you. Read operating limits ↗
Your sauna.
A new light.
Bring red and near-infrared light into the sauna you already love. A freestanding panel made for the heat, with two wavelengths and a ritual that feels entirely your own.
660 nm red + 850 nm near-infrared · Rated to 215°F Product specs ↗

Keep the heat.
Add the light.
You’ve made room for sauna.
Make that time feel even more like yours.
Sauna Elite brings a red and near-infrared light panel into your existing wellness space, with a freestanding design and adjustable controls. No new sauna cabin required. Explore the product ↗
Settle in, choose your light, and make a familiar ritual your own. For setup, follow the panel’s electrical, airflow and heater-clearance guidance.

One space. Your own pace.
Two wavelengths. One panel.
Sauna Elite lets you select red light, near-infrared, or both together. Each mode has a place in the panel’s design. Owner’s manual ↗

Explore the modes
660 + 850 nm
Choose the combined mode to use visible red and near-infrared light together. You’ll see the red glow; the 850 nm output is largely invisible to the eye.
NIR LEDs can appear dim or off even when operating. Never use visible brightness alone to judge output. Product guidance ↗
Designed for heat.
Made for your routine.
Red light panels for sauna use need more than a red glow. Look at its operating limits, placement requirements and controls before bringing it into your cabin.

The included stand keeps this model upright on a suitable stable surface. Plan for ventilation, power access and the clearances in your heater’s manual. Read placement guidance ↗

Measured output.
Clearly explained.
Irradiance is light power per unit of area, measured at a stated distance. Read the number and the distance together, not one without the other.
At 6 inches
113mW/cm²Published measured irradiance
At 12 inches
57.6mW/cm²Published measured irradiance
The same panel has different measured output at different distances. These figures help describe the hardware; they are not a universal treatment dose or an outcome guarantee.
Photobiomodulation is the study and use of light to influence biological processes. It is a different mechanism from heating a sauna. Hamblin’s research review ↗
Skin appearance
A controlled trial reported improvements in complexion, skin roughness and collagen density after repeated treatments with particular red and broader-spectrum light sources. Wunsch & Matuschka, 2014 ↗
Those study light sources and protocols were not Sauna Elite or an in-sauna protocol.
Exercise recovery research
A review of four studies comparing photobiomodulation with cryotherapy reported favorable results for some recovery measures, including soreness. Evidence certainty ranged from moderate to very low. Ferlito and colleagues, 2022 ↗
Results depend on the devices and protocols studied; they do not establish Sauna Elite’s effects.
Cellular mechanisms
Research describes how red and near-infrared light can interact with cellular processes, including mitochondrial signaling. It also describes a dose response in which more light is not always better. Hamblin, 2017 ↗
Mechanistic research is context, not proof of a particular result from this panel.
IMPORTANT: Sauna Elite is sold for general wellness. These references explain the broader research, not a clinical trial of Sauna Elite or proof of added benefits from combining light with sauna.
Fit it into the sauna you own
Set up thoughtfully.
Settle in comfortably.
A considered setup makes the experience simpler. Use the current manual for the full installation and operating instructions.
Pair it before first use, then assemble the supplied stand. Setup instructions ↗
Use a stable, dry, level surface, maintain at least 2 inches of airflow space around the panel, and follow your heater manufacturer’s safety clearances. Placement instructions ↗
Start with lower brightness and a shorter session. Use the specified distance and stop if you feel overheated or unwell. Operating instructions ↗

IMPORTANT: IPX5 describes the enclosure’s water resistance, not permission to submerge the panel or ignore electrical precautions. The enclosure becomes hot; let it cool before touching or moving it. Full safety guidance ↗
A little clarity before you begin
From choosing a light mode to planning your placement, here’s where to start.
Talk to NW Immersion ↗The current NW Immersion Sauna Elite model is freestanding and rated for sauna environments up to 215°F. Fit depends on a suitable stable surface, ventilation, heater clearance and safe power access. Check the installation manual ↗
No. It is a red and near-infrared light therapy panel for sauna environments, not a heater for warming your sauna. Your existing sauna heater remains separate. Read the product overview ↗
The 850 nm near-infrared output is largely invisible to the eye. A dim-looking NIR emitter is not, by itself, evidence of a fault; contact support if you suspect an operating problem. Wavelength guidance ↗
Follow the owner’s manual, beginning with lower brightness and shorter sessions. Its timer settings run from 10 to 30 minutes and it says not to exceed 30 minutes per session. Your comfort and individual circumstances matter; stop if unwell. Read session guidance ↗
The model shown uses the included freestanding stand. The current manual warns against mounting it against a wall and requires airflow clearance. Do not assume a wall-mount accessory or future design is included. View placement requirements ↗
Use the supplied power components and follow their labels. The manual calls for GFCI protection for an outlet inside the sauna and a licensed electrician for electrical work. IPX5 is not an immersion rating. Do not touch or move the hot panel; let the sauna and panel cool fully. Full electrical and heat precautions ↗
The current public manual specifies a one-year limited warranty covering the panel, LEDs, electronics, remote and power supply against covered manufacturing defects under normal residential use. Terms and exclusions apply. Contact support@nwimmersion.com for assistance. Read the full warranty ↗
The current policy permits a request within 30 days of delivery for an unopened, unused, uninstalled panel in its original packaging. For voluntary returns, actual original outbound shipping and insured return shipping are the customer’s responsibility. Obtain an RMA first. Read the complete returns policy ↗
