Cross-laminated timber, or CLT, bonds layers of wood in alternating directions to create exceptional strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability while allowing the natural timber itself to become an important part of the sauna's architectural character.

Because the sauna components are substantial and several panels are heavy, plan for at least two capable adults during installation. Sauna heater installation must follow the heater manufacturer's requirements and all applicable local codes. Electrical work should be completed by a licensed electrician when installing an electric sauna heater.

A solid, level foundation is essential for the Celto S. The base must be able to support the sauna’s total weight, bathers, heater, stones, and any accessories.

Recommended foundation options may include:
