Yes — the Essential 0.3HP ships with 1/2" quick-connect fittings that fit the vast majority of standard cold plunge tubs, stock tanks, and inflatable plunges on the market. Note: A 3/4"→1/2" adapter is not included with the 0.3HP (that adapter ships with our 1HP and 2HP models). If your tub has larger 3/4" ports, you may need to source an adapter separately.

The Essential 0.3HP is a cool-only chiller designed for daily use in home settings. It holds a reliable 37°F (3°C) as its coldest setting. Actual cool-down time depends on tub size, insulation, ambient temperature, and starting water temp, but a typical 80-gallon plunge tub in a 70°F garage will drop from 70°F to about 50°F in 4–6 hours. Once you hit your set temperature, the chiller cycles on and off to hold it — most owners run it continuously so a cold plunge is ready 24/7.

No. The Essential 0.3HP plugs into a standard 120V household outlet using a NEMA 5-15P plug — the same outlet that powers a lamp or fan. No electrician, no permitting. A standard 15A household circuit is more than sufficient.

The Essential 0.3HP uses a cartridge water filter combined with an internal dust net that continuously cleans water as it circulates through the unit. This keeps your plunge water visibly clear between changes.

Filter care: Rinse the cartridge regularly and replace it as needed based on use and water conditions. Spare filters are available anytime through our support team.

Note: The Essential 0.3HP does not include an ozone sanitation system. Ozone sanitation is a feature of our Elite Pro 1HP and Elite ICE 2HP models. If chemical-free continuous sanitation is important to you, consider stepping up to one of those units.
