Golden Design Saunas include 5 years of coverage on the wood structure (when properly maintained), the control panel, control-panel harnesses, and interior lights from the original date of purchase.

The stove/heater is covered separately under the manufacturer’s own applicable warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your sauna arrives as a DIY kit, securely packed on a large pallet and delivered via LTL freight. The driver will lower it to the ground at the curb (curbside delivery) and contact you in advance to schedule a convenient drop-off time. From there, you can move the individual panels to your build site — most pieces are easy to handle with two people.

Each shipment includes tracking updates and protective packaging to ensure a smooth delivery. At the driver’s discretion, your sauna may be placed inside a nearby garage. Most saunas can be fully assembled by two people in less than a day, and our team is always available to assist if you have any questions.

Golden Designs saunas require a 220–240V hardwired connection with a dedicated breaker. A separate 120V line is also needed for accessories such as lighting and controls.

The Sundsvall is designed primarily for indoor use. It may be placed in a covered, protected outdoor area, but it should not be exposed directly to rain, snow, or harsh weather conditions.


This model features a traditional Harvia electric sauna heater, allowing you to enjoy a classic sauna experience. You can pour water over the sauna rocks to create steam (löyly) and increase humidity.


No drain is required. The sauna can be installed on most flat, level surfaces such as tile, concrete, vinyl, or laminate flooring.
