A full-size traditional sauna in the Finnish idiom — a room built for six, lined in Canadian Red Cedar, warmed by an 8kW stove and a stack of stones that hold löyly the way they were meant to. The temperature settles between 170°F and 190°F. The light is soft. The wood breathes. What happens inside is a practice that predates plumbing.
The Golden Designs Osla (model GDI-7689-02) is a 6-person traditional sauna built with a premium Canadian Red Cedar interior and Pacific Premium Clear Cedar exterior. It measures 79" wide by 72" deep by 83" tall on the outside, with a roomy 74" × 67" × 78" interior — enough space for six adults on two-tier bench seating without anyone perched on the edge. The 8kW traditional stove sits on a corner heater base under a stack of sauna stones, warming the room to an authentic Finnish range of 170°F to 190°F with headroom up to 195°F. The clear tempered glass door, galaxy-star ceiling color-therapy lighting, backrest accent lights, and interior LED control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth make each session feel considered — quiet and dim for evening recovery, brighter and louder for a weekend session with friends. The Osla ships in six boxes as a modular kit that two adults can assemble in a full day, and it's engineered for both indoor rooms and covered outdoor installations.

The Osla is a full-size traditional sauna built for the way most families actually use one — together. Six people can sit shoulder-to-shoulder without anyone perched on the edge of the bench. There is real space to stretch out, real room for löyly steam to circulate, and a heat profile that reaches the classic Finnish range of 170°F to 190°F, with a ceiling near 195°F.
Inside, Canadian Red Cedar lines every visible surface. The wood is chosen for the same reasons it has been used in Northern European saunas for centuries: low thermal conductivity so benches stay comfortable on skin, natural resistance to moisture and heat, and the unmistakable warm aroma that turns a hot room into a ritual. The exterior is Pacific Premium Clear Cedar with a clear stain — a quieter, more architectural face that reads well against a home wellness room or a covered outdoor patio.
An 8kW traditional stove with built-in controls sits on a corner heater base under a stack of sauna stones. Run it dry, or ladle water over the stones to raise humidity and pull the room into a full löyly experience. The included galaxy-star ceiling lighting, backrest accent lights, and LED control panel with Bluetooth make it easy to shape each session — quiet and dim for evening recovery, brighter and louder for a Saturday afternoon with friends.
The Osla is a modular kit that ships in six boxes and assembles on-site with two or more adults. It's designed for indoor rooms and for covered exterior locations that keep the panels out of direct rain, snow, and sun. Bring us your floor plan, breaker panel photos, and delivery access before you buy — we'll help you confirm it fits.
The 8kW traditional stove is built to deliver dry sauna heat in the 170°F–190°F range with a maximum near 195°F. Pour water over the heated stones and you get löyly — the humid burst of steam that defines a real traditional sauna. This is not an infrared cabin operating at 130°F. It's the classic Finnish heat profile that most of the world means when they say the word sauna.
A 6-person capacity in a modular kit is unusually generous. Interior dimensions of 74" × 67" × 78" give upper and lower bench users real space for their legs, their arms, and the person next to them. It's a fit for extended families, couples who host, adult-child recovery sessions, and anyone who has felt cramped in a 4-person cabin.
The Osla arrives with the pieces that most kits leave you to buy separately: the stove and sauna stones, the LED control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, the built-in speakers, the ceiling galaxy-star color therapy lighting, backrest accent lighting, a reading lamp, plus a bucket, ladle, sand timer, thermometer, and hygrometer. Uncrate it, assemble it, wire it, and it's ready to run.
Cedar is the traditional bench-and-wall wood for good reason. It resists warping through repeated heat and humidity cycles, stays cool enough to sit on comfortably at 190°F, releases a soft warm aroma the moment it heats up, and ages into a deep patina over years of use. Pacific Premium Clear Cedar on the exterior gives you a cleaner, more architectural finish for the room-facing side.
The Osla installs indoors — home gyms, dedicated wellness rooms, basement additions, guest suites — or under a covered outdoor structure that protects the panels from direct rain, snow, and sun. Golden Designs' documentation specifies covered exterior use only; leaving the Osla exposed to open weather voids the wood-structure warranty. If you're planning a covered patio installation, we can walk through what qualifies.
The interior LED control panel handles the temperature, the FM radio, and a Bluetooth pairing that streams from any phone to the built-in performance speakers. The galaxy-star ceiling lighting and dimmable backrest accents let you turn a bright morning session into a quiet, low-lit evening one without changing anything else.
Please note: Final electrical connections are not included. A licensed electrician should install both the 240V/40A heater circuit and the 120V/15A control-and-lights circuit. On-site assembly labor is not included; if you'd like a referral to an independent sauna assembler in your area, contact us. The manufacturer installation and owner's manual is available for download in the Manuals & Downloads section below.

The manual covers step-by-step assembly, electrical hookup, ventilation, first-fire seasoning, and routine maintenance. Golden Designs also ships printed installation and warranty documentation inside the crate.
The Osla is a modular kit. Interlocking wall and ceiling panels connect on-site with the included hardware, so you skip framing, drywall, and finish carpentry entirely. Two adults can complete the mechanical assembly in a full day.
If you'd prefer professional installation, we're happy to share contact information for independent sauna assemblers in many U.S. markets. You'd work directly with the assembler and pay them directly — no NW Immersion markup or middleman fee.
Free scheduled freight delivery is included within the 48 contiguous United States. For Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations, contact us for a shipping quote before you order.
Contact us before placing your order if your delivery location has any of the following: narrow roads, a long or steep driveway, low-hanging tree branches, stairs, gates, remote or island access, or any other constraint on a full-size freight truck. Golden Designs, Inc. warranties the Osla against defects in materials and workmanship from the original date of purchase, when the sauna is used in accordance with the installation and operating instructions and kept in a covered, protected location.
Important: The Osla is warranted for indoor use or covered exterior use with a waterproof roof. Placing the sauna in an uncovered outdoor location, or exposing it to direct rain, snow, sun, or extreme temperature swings, voids the wood-structure warranty. Modifications to the sauna or its components also void the manufacturer warranty.
As an authorized Golden Designs dealer, NW Immersion helps you handle warranty questions and part replacements directly — you don't have to navigate manufacturer paperwork on your own. Beyond the manufacturer terms, we offer a flat one-year support commitment on every sauna we ship: we take responsibility for helping you resolve issues in year one, whether that means walking the electrician through a wiring question, coordinating a replacement panel from Golden Designs, or troubleshooting a control panel over the phone.

The Osla is a real traditional electric sauna, not an infrared cabin. It uses an 8kW resistive stove and a stack of sauna stones to heat the room to the classic Finnish range of 170°F–190°F. You can run it dry, or pour water over the stones to create löyly steam. Infrared saunas operate at much lower air temperatures (typically 120°F–140°F) and use radiant panels instead of a stove and stones — a fundamentally different experience.
The Osla is a full 6-person sauna. Interior dimensions of 74" × 67" × 78" give six adults enough room on the upper and lower benches for a shared session without feeling cramped. It's genuinely sized for families, couples who host, and multi-generational households.
The 8kW traditional sauna stove with built-in controls is included, along with the sauna stones. You do not need to buy a separate heater. The heater controls are integrated — no external control box. Final electrical connection to the heater is the only heater-related work you'll need a licensed electrician for.
Yes, in a covered exterior location that fully protects the sauna from rain, snow, and direct sun. Suitable examples include a covered patio, a pergola with a waterproof roof, a screened porch, or a shed-style structure with a roof. It is not warranted for open-air outdoor use — leaving the panels exposed to weather voids the wood-structure warranty. Indoor installation (home gym, wellness room, garage) is always the simplest path.
Two dedicated circuits. The heater requires a 240V, 40A dedicated circuit. The lights, control panel, and audio require a separate 120V, 15A dedicated circuit. Both should be installed by a licensed electrician per local code. If you'd like, send us photos of your breaker panel and installation location and we'll help you plan the runs before your electrician quotes the work.
The ideal operating range is 170°F–190°F (77°C–88°C), and the sauna can reach approximately 195°F (91°C) at maximum. Actual peak temperature varies with room insulation, ambient temperature, ventilation, and the number of bathers. Most owners find 175°F–185°F is the sweet spot for a 20–30 minute session.
The Osla is a modular kit. Interlocking panels connect on-site with the included hardware — you're not framing walls or hanging drywall. Two adults can typically complete the mechanical assembly in a full day. If you'd prefer professional assembly, we can connect you with independent sauna assemblers in many U.S. markets. You work directly with the assembler and pay them directly, so there's no NW Immersion markup on the labor.
Traditional saunas can qualify for HSA/FSA reimbursement when a licensed healthcare provider issues a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) tying the purchase to a specific health condition. The four-step process is: (1) obtain an LMN from your provider, (2) purchase the Osla, (3) submit our receipt plus your LMN to your HSA/FSA administrator, and (4) receive reimbursement or use your HSA/FSA card. We're happy to issue a custom receipt that matches your administrator's format — just email info@nwimmersion.com after your order.
Golden Designs covers the Osla's wood structure for 5 years and provides separate coverage for the heater, control panel, harnesses, and interior lighting under its current warranty schedule. The manufacturer warranty applies when the sauna is installed indoors or in a covered exterior location; open-air outdoor use voids the wood-structure warranty. NW Immersion adds a flat one-year support commitment on top — we take direct responsibility for helping you resolve any issue in year one, whether that means troubleshooting or coordinating replacement parts with Golden Designs on your behalf.
The Osla is the same product wherever you buy it, but the buying experience is not. Here is what you get when you buy from NW Immersion — a family-owned authorized dealer with a physical showroom in Vancouver, WA — that a marketplace or a national chain cannot deliver:
In short: same sauna, better support. Call or text 360-360-6968, email info@nwimmersion.com, or visit the showroom before you place the order.
